ALFONZ DE LA MOTA - SUR AMERICA RECORDS - M.I.A. COLLECTIVE.

A name synonymous with Chicago drum n bass and one of Americas largest drum n bass collectives the "M.I.A." aka Murda In America DnB crew with over 25+ djs across the nation. Alfonz along with combat records owner M1D1 started M.I.A. in mid 2006 after a discussion about the state of the local dnb scene in Chicago and the lack of clubs, raves and under-grounds dedicated to the harder drum n bass sounds. Since his start in 1994 Alfonz has played Los Angeles, New York City, Albany, Houston, Mc Allen, Philadelphia, Denver, Milwaukee, Kalamazoo, Phoenix, Miami, Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Troy, Madison, St Louis, Indianapolis and currently holds down a residency at Chicago's Smart bar @ "Big Bass Thursdays" a weekly low end frequency dance music night. Currently in the studio working on a next release with M.I.A. producer M1D1 due out fall of 2009 stay tunes for that.
